Dreadful Nuptials: A Haunting Tale of Love and the Malevolent Night Journey

In the eerie tale of a couple, a man from the IT department sought a girl for marriage. After an exhaustive search, he discovered his dream girl. When he went to meet her, she wore a hauntingly green saree and served him tea. As he took the tea, a chilling smile played on her lips, and he felt like he had stepped into a realm beyond. With bated breath, he proposed, and to his delight, she agreed. They began to date and eventually tied the knot.

However, the day of their marriage concealed a horror that lurked in the shadows, unbeknownst to all. After completing the marriage rituals, the couple embarked on their journey to the husband's house. Due to delayed rituals, they set out late into the night, traveling through a desolate area. As they passed through the pitch-dark road, the bride experienced a nightmare. In the dream, a sinister voice vowed to age her rapidly and claim her life within a year. She awoke abruptly, finding herself in the ominous darkness. Little did she know that her dream was a harbinger of doom.

Upon reaching the husband's house, the initial warmth and welcome soon turned into a nightmare. The bride's body began aging rapidly, resembling a grandmother within days. What was once young and vibrant now withered away. Her skin dried up, and she lay bedridden, unable to move. The husband, helpless and haunted, witnessed his beloved deteriorate rapidly.

Within a month, the bride transformed into a frail figure, and, as prophesied by her dream, she succumbed to old age. The husband, left alone and shattered, could not fathom the tragic turn of events. It was whispered that the devil had cursed them during that ominous night journey. The legend serves as a cautionary tale: newlyweds should avoid venturing out at night, especially when their bodies are adorned with ritualistic turmeric, as they may attract malevolent forces. The story serves as a chilling reminder to tread carefully on paths veiled in negative energy during nocturnal travels.

Kumkum and the Divine Wrath

This is a true story experienced by one of my cousins — something beyond explanation, something divine. My cousin owns a building with around six houses rented out to different families. Some time ago, a couple moved into one of these houses. Over the course of six months, they became quite close to my cousin’s family. Eventually, the couple had a baby, and everyone was happy for them. However, a few months after the birth, the wife began acting strangely. She would speak in an unusual manner, and her behavior started scaring her husband. Worried, he called my cousin for help. When my cousin arrived, she was shocked by what she saw — the woman's eyes were wide open, almost unnaturally, and she was saying things like, “Come and apply kumkum to me.” She had already put some kumkum on her forehead herself. At that moment, they realized something divine had taken over her — it seemed like a god had entered her body. She turned to her husband and said, “You promised me something but did...

Haunted Bicycle Ride

In the dimly lit room, I gathered my friends around, eager to share a chilling tale passed down from my grandfather. Before I recount his bone-chilling encounter, allow me to paint a picture of my dear grandfather—a joyful and talented man, skilled in music, capable of playing the flute, tabla, piano, and more. He was a maestro in dance, mastering the art of both Kathak and Bharatanatyam. Yet, amidst all his passions, one thing held a peculiar grip on his heart—fish. He couldn't bear a day without this aquatic delicacy; it had to accompany every meal, or he'd refuse to eat anything else. This eerie tale harks back some forty years, to a time when the world was a vastly different place. My grandfather resided in a quaint little village known as Kumta. In those days, the road leading to his home was a haunting path. No streetlights dared to pierce the darkness, and dense forests loomed ominously on either side. But things have changed drastically since then, as you'll soon se...
